A loan of $1,000 helped buy material.

Germán's story

Germán, 29, lives in a rented house with his cousin and his cousin’s family.

Half of a year ago he decided to do business with his cousin. With the savings they both had, they bought some land with clay soil, which is an ideal place to put a brick factory. Since then they have both worked, sharing the same chores, in order to afford the expenses. Even though the work is very hard, it is compensated by the earnings they get for each sale of a thousand bricks they have made. For German and his cousin it is basic that they consider each minuscule detail when making the bricks. When they started, only the two of them worked. They currently have contracted two workers who help them so that the production is faster. In the future, German is planning to buy a truck to transport the bricks they make.

This is his fourth loan with MFP. He is very happy to see that his community bank has overcome various problems in a successful way. For his part, he renews his promise to work to strengthen their unity.

The money he is asking for is to buy the necessary materials to make bricks; a truckload of fine sand, sawdust, and wood, among others.
