A loan helped to buy more cheese and sweet bread to sell and to take advantage of the December season when sales are good.

María Marina's story

María did not have the opportunity to go to school. She is a single mother, and she lives with only three grandchildren who work in agriculture. She had six children, and all of them now live on their own.

María has been selling cheese and sweet bread in an itinerant manner for over 25 years. Having been a single mother, she had to get her children ahead by herself. She works from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Her grandchildren help her with the sales when they are able to .

She needs a loan to buy more cheese and sweet bread to sell and to take advantage of the December season when sales are good.

María dreams of generating enough earnings in her business to be able to support the household expenses and to have food security for the coming months.
