Ghzala Yasmeen Javed Iqbal Group's story

Ghzala Yasmeen baji has lived in Chichawatni, Pakistan for the last 15 years. Her husband, J. I., sells clothing. He buys clothes from the city Multan because the clothes are less expensive there, and he resells them in his native city. He also treks to different towns and communities to sell the clothes. Ghzala baji also sews clothes to pay off the utilities. She is applying for a loan to buy additional clothing to advance her husband’s business.

She is the leader of a group including three other women from her locality. The other members and their loan uses are as follows:

Rubina Arshad baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for sewing clothes.
Anayat baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for sewing clothes.
Ruqaiya Bano baji wants a loan to buy scrap for her scrap business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
