Mumtaz Saeed Group's story

Mumtaz baji is a widow who has lived in a city named Arifwala in Pakistan for the past 15 years. Her husband died of a heart attack. Mumtaz baji is a very strong lady. She never loses courage and fights very bravely despite the circumstances. She is the mother of two sons. She never took her younger son from school. She pays the school fees from her clothes-sewing business. Her elder son runs a fruit-selling business. Mumtaz baji is applying for a loan to buy seasonal fruits to expand her son’s fruit-selling business.

She is the group leader of three other women from her locality. Tahira parveen baji wants a loan to buy tools for her motor-repair workshop. Zubaida baji wants a loan to buy scrap for her scrap business. Amina baji wants a loan to buy a donkey cart for loading.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
