Paulina's story

Thirty-one-year-old Paulina is a very unassuming and kind woman. She lives in her own home with her two children: Roció, 8, and Carlos, 6. They are the cause of all her efforts. One of the busiest stores in Nuñoa (district in the province of Melgar and the department of Puno) is Paulina's. She is a very cheerful and persuasive saleswoman who always convinces her customers to take something home. Most of all, she enjoys conversing with her customers and making their visit to her store more enjoyable. After doing this work for ten years, she thinks the most difficult part of her job is remaining all day inside the store. In the near future, she hopes that her store will grow and become one of the most important stores in Nuñoa. This is Paulina's second loan from Microfinanzas PRISMA, and she is willing to make her payments on time. She feels a responsibility toward her peers at the village bank, where she is highly respected for the order she imposes on the meetings. With the requested $350, she will buy more products for her grocery store.
