Nery's story

Nery is 47 years old and a mother of a very dedicated and lovely family. She lives in her own house with her 50-year-old husband Hernán and their 3 children: Julio is 21, Roxana is 17, and Hugo is 11. Her children are the motivation for all of her efforts. Her handicraft shop is a very profitable business, since she has several customers who come to her establishment to buy decorations and other items. She starts working very early in the morning and stays in her shop practically all day, since she knows that she has to work very hard to achieve her goals. What Nery likes best about her job is that she can do household tasks at the same time that she is working at her shop. She has been working this way for 12 years and what she likes the least about it is having to stay inside her shop all day without being able to go out into the street. For the future, Nery wants to improve the infrastructure of her shop so that she can provide her customers the service that they deserve. This is her third loan with MFP and she feels the responsibility to pay her dues on time, since she desires access to more loans in the future. In her village bank she is one of the most active partners. With the 2000 nuevos soles that she is asking for she will buy new materials to build more handicrafts to sell and therefore improve her economic gains.
