A loan of $500 helped increase inventory.

Marizol's story

Marizol is 30 years old. She is a mother who is very much loved by her family. She lives in the house inherited from her parents. Her husband is Juan, who is 32 years old, and they have four children: Jhon-11, Daniel-9, Karen-7, and Ruth-5. They wish to give them a good life.

Marizol sells clothing from her shop located in the San José market (the largest market in the city of Juliaca). She is a very persuasive saleswoman who always convinces customers to buy something. Marizol says what she likes most about her job is making sales and even more that the people who buy from her are “like family” (her regular customers). She has been in business 10 years, and what she likes least is hauling clothing from the city of Tacna (in the southern part of the country) since it is a very tiring journey.

Marizol longs to have a large clothing store where she can sell her clothes more comfortably. She knows she has to work hard to succeed. This is her fifth loan with MFP and expects to make her payments on time since she does not want to cause problems for her communal bank group, where she is a very active member. With her loan of 1500 soles, she will purchase more clothing to improve her sales.
