Batdulam's story

Batdulam B. lives with her husband and two small daughters in Arhangai province, one of Mongolia's central provinces. Her oldest daughter's name is Zolzaya and she goes a local secondary school. The youngest daughter, Monhzaya, is 3 years old and goes to a local kindergarten.

Batdulam's husband has a small business in local freight transportation. She owns a small truck that is used for transportating various products between local towns. Although she started this transportation business last year, she has done well and her business capital has increased from 80,000 Mongolian tugriks to 200,000 tugriks (US $55 to $139).

Batdulam and her husband say that they would like to see their daughters well educated and they are working hard to make their dreams come true. Batdulam requests a loan to purchase necessary accessories and fuel for the truck in their business.
