Dilshad's story

This is Dilshad, a 51-year-old woman from Muzzafar Gharh, Pakistan.

Dilshad is a mother of five children. Her native language is Saraiki, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in their own house, made of brick, that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

Dilshad makes artificial flowers which are used in wedding ceremonies in a bridal room and she sells in the market. Thanks to her skills, Dilshad provides daily living for her family. She is a very skillful and highly-demanded artist among locals in the market. Dilshad shares her living with her husband, who is a private employee.

Dilshad’s only difficulty is the lack of raw materials. That's why she applied for this support. Dilshad needs your help to pay for raw materials, such as paper and plastic, for her artificial flower-making business. This will allow her to earn more money and improve her family's living standards.
