A loan of $500 helped buy raw material.

Candelaria Cristina's story

Candelaria Cristina is from the Patzarajmac Totonicapan community, which is eight kilometers from the head of the department. Her primary source of income is from hand embroidery. She learned how to do this when she was ten years old. You need lots of patience for this work. It takes a lot of time to make a Güipil (top blouse of the indigenous Mayan outfit) because of its shape.

She now needs a loan from the institution to buy materials and patterns, and she has two new workers.
