Dominga is 46 years old. She is a single mother of 5 children and she lives in a village of the municipality of La Campa, Lempira. She has always worked in agriculture, growing basic grains. She has been growing and processing coffee to sell for 3 years. She does this on her own land. From her harvest, she processes the coffee and sells it by the bag in the local market and in surrounding areas. This loan she is asking for is the first one she has done as a group. With it, she is going to buy fertilizer to apply to her crop to obtain a better harvest. Her plan is to improve her crop and with the income expand her cropland to grow as a coffee producer. The group is B. C. Guanaspal. It is made up of 9 members who live in the same community. The group works at different agricultural activities, such as growing coffee, vegetables, basic grains, and raising and selling pigs and poultry. The group loan is for 35,000 Lempiras, and it is to buy seed for basic grains such as coffee, corn, and beans, as well as compost, fertilizer, and chickens and pigs to raise and sell during the end of the year season.
