Marjorie C. is a 39-year old farmer with three children. She grows rice and sells her grains to their neighbors. She started farming in 1994 using the 1-hectare (2.5-acre) farm that she inherited from her parents.
Marjorie would like to ask for a loan of Php 15,000. She wants to buy fertilizers to improve the soil condition of her farm. She hopes that this move will help a lot in improving her yield and her income as well.
CEVI is a partner of World Vision Philippines. The reason why Marjorie chose CEVI was that CEVI provides a wide array of services to the poor. It gives not just loans but training and insurance also.
