A loan helped a member to purchase a wagon.

Nularan Group's story

Nularan is a big loan group of thirteen housewives, living near by the sea; most of their husbands are fishermen. These women tend to run small businesses such as fishmongers, vegetable sellers, retailers and kiosks.
Differing from the others, Joana, a 53-year-old woman married to Bentu (61), prefers to run a business selling dry-wood with her husband since he is too old to go fishing anymore. They have eight children of which only two are going to school. This is why she works hard to collect dry woods every day to sell for money. She earns IDR 50.000,- /day, which only allows her to send two of her children to school while the other six have to stay at home.
To change this, she really needs support money to purchase a wagon to help her carry dry woods from the forest, in order to increase her sales and therefore her income. To reach her dream of sending all of her children to school, she decided to join with her friends who need a loan to develop their businesses as well and apply for a loan amounting to IDR 2.000.000,- per woman from TLM.

In this group: Joana, Joana, Cristina, Ana Correia, Felisiana, Paulina, Joanina, Martha, Ursula, Celina, Fernanda, Berta, Isabel
