A loan helped to buy seeds and expand her banana farming.

Violet's story

Get to know Violet!

Violet is a tireless worker, a woman who spends nine hours per day on her mixed farm. Ten years ago, she started farming on a small, inherited piece of land in the Chuka area of Kenya. Today, this humble mother sells dairy cow milk, bananas, vegetables, maize, and a variety of food crops. She is a passionate farmer and because of her immense knowledge of farming, Violet commands a lot of respect from other farmers in her village.

Although she makes profits through banana farming, the demand is high and she cannot meet the demand. She is seeking a loan to buy seeds and increase her banana farming business. The Chuka area has a ready market for bananas and through this loan she will sell banana to nearby hotels, schools and her neighbours.

Violet believes that through this loan, her living conditions will change because she is going to have an increase in banana production. Violet’s only purpose is to get ahead, and not to depend on anyone. She wants to support her family unconditionally so that they will not suffer hardships and they can progress each day.

You can be part of the story of this beautiful Kenyan mum, as a loan can change her life.

Violet appreciates your help and wishes you the best of luck.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
