Flor's story

Flor is 40 years old and she is separated from her partner. She lives with her 4 kids; John who is 22, Wini who is 14, Jorge who is 11 and Alvaro who is 8 years old. She is in business selling fruit which she brings from Huaral (3 hours from Lima) in her own car that she drives. Flor likes to feel independent and she considers herself to be a strong woman who can achieve what she puts her mind to. She also is supported by her kids who, although not helping with physical labour, are always with her encouraging her and spending time with them is one of the advantages of the job.

However, it is not always easy and the highways are more and more dangerous. Happliy for Flor she is a very careful driver. Moreover, she also sells plots of land for a real estate company and she also uses her car to take clients to see the plots that she's offering. In the future Flor would like to have a different type of business, although she hasn't decided in what yet, but at the moment she is happy with what she is doing. This is her ninth loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA and she has always been very punctual with her payments. She is friendly with many members of her group who look up to her a lot. With this loan she will tune up some parts of her car so that it runs at its best. She will also buy more fruit to sell.
