Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Rosas Y Su Clavel 2 Group's story

In one of the main focal areas of Pro Mujer, “Alto Lima”, you can find the communal association of “Rosas y su Clavel”. With approximately 3 years in existence, this group has 12 members who for the most part dedicate themselves to creating handmade products such as: skirts, knitwear from alpaca wool, hats, and other items. They indicate they will use the loan to buy raw materials to make their products, such as yarn, fabric and lining.

Their president is Celia C., who has a business making jackets. She notes that she is very happy with the loan, as it allows her more room to grow financially. In addition, they all like to use the health services because they are tended to with much respect.

In this group: Celia, Martha, Maria, Lourdes, Rosmilia, Roxana, Guadalupe, Reyna, Nancy, Nancy, Graciela, Vladimir
