Yaotcha's story

H. Yaotcha is 35 years old and was born in Cotonou, the economic capital of the Republic of Benin. She is married to KPEYITO Assogba, a mason by profession, and is the mother of five children: two of them go to school, and the other three help their mother with her work. Yaotcha resides with her family in Hlacomè, a highly-populated district of the city of Cotonou.

For five years, Yaotcha has been in the restaurant business. She also sells various goods: candies, cookies, canned foods (milk, sardine, tomatoes), sugar, pasta, soaps for the laundry, dishes, and bath, charcoal, phone recharge cards, etc. As for her purchases, she stocks up at Dantokpa, the grand international marketplace of Benin.

Yaotcha has already benefited from four loans with Alidé, and she has repaid them. She was able to use them to raise her business to a higher level. She wants to improve her restaurant business with the aim of providing a better offering to her customers, who are ever-growing in number. This is why she is requesting a fifth loan from Alidé.
