Agnes's story

Agnes B. is from the town of Launion, San Isidro, Medina, Misamis Oriental. She is 46 years old, married, and has ten adult children.

Agnes owns and operates a sari-sari (variety) store, selling a variety of different products in the local community. She is just starting this business.

In 2009, Agnes joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional grocery items for sale. This loan will be her first from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the income of her family and to support the education of her children.
