A loan helped to pay for her university fees.

Ann's story

A Kiva loan will help Ann clear her tuition this year.

Twenty-five-year-old Ann comes from central Kenya. She is the first-born in a family of six. Currently living at Kasarani, Nairobi, Ann graduated from St. Teresa High School in 2010.

Since 2013, Ann has been working with Digital Divide Data Limited (DDD), and she says working at DDD has positively impacted her and her family. DDD offers a partial scholarship, which is not enough to support her learning at the university. She is currently enrolled in Zetech University, taking a diploma in human resource management, and is in her second year, first semester.

Ann is concerned about people’s welfare, especially the youth unemployment levels in Kenya. She intends to use her knowledge and skills to improve everyday lives and tackle social challenges and injustices in her society by increasing the number of employment facilities.

This loan is special because:

It provides the first step for Kenyan youth to reach the tech world.
