He typically makes $3 US a day, while his wife, pictured here, works in a grocery store also making $3 US of profit per day. This couple is supported by two of their children, who work as tailors. Dong T. is asking for a loan of $1000 US to purchase sewing machines for his children. This is a purchase that he sees as a good opportunity to increase his income.
