A loan of $4,650 helped a member buy merchandise.

Union Pro Mujer Group's story

The Unión Pro Mujer group has worked together with Pro-Mujer for over ten years. They currently have 12 active members. They have shown themselves to be an organized group regarding their loan payments.

Most of the group members are married and have families. They need to look for other sources of income since their children’s needs increase every day.

Within the group there are different businesses such as selling used clothes, provisions, and cosmetics. Other group members weave blankets from vicuna wool. Most of them sell products at the fairs in the city.

They need capital to be able to buy a larger quantity of merchandise or products. This way they will generate greater income, which will allow them to provide for the well being of their families.

In this group: Maria Antonia, Fidelia, Martha Natalia, Charo Rosa, Carlota, Blanca*, Gladys, Matilde, Estela, Gladys Virginia, Zelma Isabel*, David Felipe
