A loan of $650 helped purchase of sacks of charcoal.

Adjowoa's story

Mrs. K. is married to a mechanic and has one child. In 1999 she started selling sacks of charcoal. She is the only person who sells charcoal in her neighborhood, and as a result, she makes good profits on her sales. A portion of her stock was destroyed by rain so she wants to purchase 20 sacks of charcoal and is requesting a loan through WAGES to do so. She contributes to her family's household expenses with the money she receives from her business.
