A loan helped to invest in an assortment of groceries: vegetables, rice, oil, meat, chicken, and more.

Noemi Margarita's story

Noemi is an entrepreneur who noted a lack of grocery stores in her community in the areas near her neighborhood and decided to follow the advice of her sister. All of her neighbors, even, had to walk long distances to purchase groceries of such importance for the family pantry. In this way, five years ago, she became a shopkeeper in this neighborhood located in the south of Barranquilla. She provides the inhabitants of the area quality products at good prices and keeps long opening hours so that her customers have the opportunity to make their purchases of products without inconvenience. Currently, she is applying for her first Kiva loan, through the intermediary of Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to invest in an assortment of groceries: vegetables, rice, oil, meat, chicken, and more, with the end that her customers will find everything in the same place. Noemi wants to have a stock with which she can respond in a timely way to the demand and her long-term goal is to expand the shop. Support her with her loan.
