Sara María's story

Señora Sara María A. S. is 41 years of age and lives in La Esperanza District of Trujillo Province, Department of La Libertad. She completed her secondary education. She has four children who are economically dependent on her. Sara works selling prepared food and beer from her business which she operates out of her home. Her first loan of 200 Sols which she received from her Communal Bank, Nueva Esperanza II (the Second New Hope), was used to buy utensils for the restaurant, such as pots, dishes and beer. This loan of 1,500 Sols will be used to buy supplies such as beer and soft drinks in order to stock up her business. Sara has a dream of having her own bookstore in order to grow as the owner of a small business.
