A loan helped a member to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her crops.

Ne's Group's story

Ne is 30 years old and a resident of Dambae district in Tbaung Khmum province. She has two children who are in school and need her support. Ne’s daily income is derived from planting rice and cassava. She earns about 8 USD per day, which is just enough to cover her family’s expenses. This year the price of cassava has dropped at the market, so she is not able to earn as much income as before. Ne has already participated in one loan cycle with VisionFund and this will be her second time.

As the leader of her group, Ne will spend her portion of the loan on fertilizers and pesticides so that she can achieve a higher yield. In the future, she hopes that she can sell her harvest at a good price so that she can have additional income to keep her children in school until they graduate.

In this group: Ne, Yin
