Carmen Ruth's story

Carmen Ruth Martínez Z. is 62 years old and lives in the La Esperanza District of Trujillo Province in the state of La Libertad in Peru.

She studied to be an executive secretary. She doesn't have any children that are economically dependent on her.

Carmen works making bags and cushions embroidered with ribbons and weavings; her business is located in her house.

With the first loan of 300 Nuevos Soles that she received from the "Nueva Esperanza II" communal bank she invested in the purchase of materials such as ribbons, threads, brooches, sequins and fabric.

This loan of 500 Nuevos Soles will be invested in the purchase of ribbons, threads, brooches, sequins and fabric to expand her business

Carmen's dreams is to learn more trades, such as making costume jewelry , to be able to grow as a micro entrepreneur.
