Noralyn's story

Noralyn T. is from the village of Biasong. She is 37 years old. Noralyn is married and has five school-aged children. To make a living, Noralyn owns & operates a fishing business. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from harvesting & selling ocean-caught fish in the local community. Noralyn has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 6,000 PHP a month from these activities.

In 2007, Noralyn joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Noralyn has successfully repaid a previous loan of 5,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to invest in expanding the business. Noralyn is requesting a new loan of 10000 PHP, which will be used to purchase fishing equipment including hooks & nets. This loan will be the fourth loan taken out by Noralyn from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
