Yolita's story

Yolita is a member of the “Señor de Los Milagros” communal bank located in the Imicati community in Yunguyo District, Chucuito Province in the state of Puno. She is 36 years old, married and has 3 children. She attended school until the first year of high school and currently lives in the Miguel Grau neighborhood.

She has worked with the Manuela Ramos organization for 3 years, with an initial loan of 300 Nuevos Soles which she used for her snack food business.

Currently, she is requesting a loan of 3,000 Nuevos Soles to invest in her current business, which is the buying and selling of the area's products, such as potatoes, quinoa, oca (Andean tuberous root crop), beans, chuño (freeze-dried potatoes), etc.

Her biggest dream is to be able to have a busines raising livestock to be able to sell. She likes saving and the meetings at her communal bank.
