Symplicia's story

Symplicia K. was born March 2nd, 1970 in Cotonou, Economic Capital of the Republic of Benin, in the Atlantic Region of Southern Benin. Symplicia is married to a merchant named Jean Gabin Hodonou. Symplicia is the mother of four children, whom are all enrolled in school. For the past five years, Symplicia's work has primarily been the sale of wood charcoal by the bag and by the piece. Her work has already benefited from a first a loan from Alidé , and Symplicia has paid back that initial loan in full. Symplicia is happy with her first loan from Alidé and hopes to keep benefiting from their services in order to continue expanding her business. Therefore, Symplicia is asking for a second loan from Alidé in order to increase her stock of wood charcoal, which has become difficult to find and more costly during this rainy season.
