Hilda's story

Hilda belongs to the Las Nazarenas Community Bank. She lives at Jr. Bolognesi Nº 224, Bellavista district, San Martín province, San Martín department. She is 56, married, and has one son who is still dependent upon her.

She wanted her son to see her as a professional with their own income, so she decided to start her own business. She has had many problems in her life. But her enterprising character and her desire to get ahead served her well in order to start her own business of selling prepared meals. Hilda sells her meals in her own house. She has set up a space to wait on her customers. Little by little she has become very well known for her good cooking among her customers who are her neighbors, friends, and family. Her sales are going very well. She sells food in the mornings and in the afternoons.

With this loan for 2,000 PEN she will buy ingredients like sacks of rice and sugar, chicken, crates of eggs, bunches of bananas, noodles, oil by the dozen, and cooking utensils to prepare her meals and offer quality service.

Hilda still feels that she has a lot of strength to keep selling her food. In the future, she would like to set up her business as a restaurant that is able to offer her customers better service and attention. She is grateful to the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for contributing to the fulfillment of her dreams and goals.
