A loan helped to purchase duck feed and medicine.

Ka Dar Village Group's story

Hla is 50 years old and lives with her family of seven (1st from the right in the picture). She has one child who is studying at primary school, while her older two sons are grown-up and independent. She takes care of house chores and tailors in her village while her husband farms and looks after the livestock. Like her fellow group members, this loan will help Hla’s family purchase duck feed and medicine that will make the ducks healthy and more productive, which will help her business flow smoothly.

Ka Dar Village is located in Myanmar’s River Delta region. Besides duck farming, villagers also fish, tailor, and run farms. Most households raise animals on the side as well.
