Shazia baji and Shamim baji and Samina baji each want a loan to buy material (beads, colored thread and clothes) for their decorative embroidering businesses. Rukhsana baji wants a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle).

Nasreen baji is a wife of M. B. who has lived in a city named Lahore, Pakistan for the past 15 years. Lahore city is famous for its historic places and for its Punjabi foods. Her husband has dealt in seasonal fruits for the past 2 years. He buys fruits at wholesale and sells to the fruits shops. Nasreen baji is a very caring lady. She takes care of her husband’s every desire and always tries to give him happiness. She packs the fruits before his asking which impresses her husband a lot. She is applying for a loan to grow her husband’s seasonal fruit selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
