C. Sophea, 30, is married and lives with her only child and her husband. The family is dependent totally on her husband, Chheoun Seang, who is collecting stones from the mountains for construction building. Her husband has been involved in this business for four years and earns $2 per day. Hence, to maintain a good standard of living, she is requesting a loan of $1000 to further her husband’s business of transporting the stones for selling. She will use the loan to buy a new car engine and replace the old one. By doing this, she hopes to earn more income from her husband's current job.
