Ángel's story

Ángel is 33 years old and he lives together with his wife and his son in the house of his parents, because they still haven't managed to buy a plot on which to build their own house. His family used to sell agricultural products in the central town market, where he used to work helping his parents. Now, he has clubbed together with them in order to start-up his own business, as he now has responsibility to watch over his new family. As a result, for the last two years he has sold corn in the same market, an activity which requires many hours of sacrifice. At 3 in the morning he leaves the house and heads to his stall to sell his produce until midday. In this way, Ángel maintains contact with his providers who are farmers from other provinces who provide the produce at a low price. However, if he wants to obtain even lower costs he travels to these places to acquire better-quality produce in larger quantities. In the short-term, Ángel wants to have a store where he can keep his goods securely. This is his first loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA, where his commitment is attached to his economic growth, based upon responsibility and hard-work. With the 3000 soles which he is asking for he will travel to a province in the interior of the country in order to buy, wholesale, the produce he needs.
