A loan of $1,175 helped buy wool.

Agueda's story

Agueda is a 30 year old single mother. She lives in her relatives’ house. They give her lots of support. She wants to get ahead in life, and she knows that to do so she has to work a lot. She works arduously every day making her weavings. Her customers look for the quality and beauty in her weavings. She puts a lot of love into her handicrafts because she likes the work so much. She is able to spend a lot of time at home, taking advantage of that time to do housework. She has been in this business for six years. She longs to have her own stable place where she can sell her weavings. She currently only distributes them to handicrafts stores. She considers the most difficult part of her work to be making the finishings for the garments. You need to be very precise. She is aware that the road to her personal development is not easy. She is prepared to confront any difficulty along the way.

This is her sixth loan with MFP. She knows that she needs to make payments on time, and she is ready to save a little every day to do so. She is a happy member of her community bank, and she is loved by the other members.

She will use the 3,500 PEN she will buy more wool of better quality to be able to give her handicrafts a better finish.
