A loan helped maría to raise pigs.

Maria Trancito's story

María is a responsible and very hard-working 42 year old woman. She has two precious children, Evelyn, who is one year old; and Hugo, who is ten years old.
María makes her living and supports her family by raising animals. She purchases the animals very young, raises them and after a time, when they are bigger, she sells them. That is how she makes her profit. María currently has three pigs. She is requesting a loan from Kiva so she can purchase more pigs and animal feed so she can raise them.
María plans to keep her earnings as savings for building a house and also for her children's education.
