Roberta's story

Roberta, 60, is a widow. She lives with her 2 grown daughters in the house she owns. For more than 10 years, she's maD. a living selling local food products (trout, potatoes, cheese, etc.). Every 15 days, she travels to other cities in order to sell her products at local markets or fairs and to drop off orders for her regular customers. With time and experience, Roberta has learned how to mitigate the risks of her business, risks such as losing part of her stock to decomposition when the roads are blocked because of torrential rains. Even so, her efforts have paid off with the earnings that she's maD.. For the future, Roberta wants to continue working at the business that she's put so much effort to build. This is her first MFP loan and she's excited by the opportunity to be a part of a community bank and committed to being responsible to it. The money that she's requesting will be invested in the purchase of larger quantities of the products that she sells.
