A loan of $900 helped to buy fertilizers and to weed her organic, fair-trade coffee farm.

Fany's story

Fany is 19 years old and lives in the town of Tamborapa, in the district of Tabaconas, Perú. She lives with her husband and her one son of 1.5 years. Since when she was very young, her parents taught her the business of growing coffee, which will allow her to raise up her child ahead and give him an education. Growing coffee together with her husband is her main business, but in addition she generates extra income by raising and selling small animals such as chickens and guinea pigs, which she sells in the local area.

This loan will be used to buy fertilizer, to weed her farm, and the coffee that she harvests will be sold in her Cooperative, in their 2017 campaign.

Fany considers herself a hardworking, determined, and responsible woman. Her wish is that in the future she’ll be able to engage in the selling of basic products and to start a grocery store in her home. She thanks Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Norandino for the confidence that it has placed in her in spite of her being young.
