Koem Sroh's story

Koem Sroh is 34 years old and lives in a community in Kralaeng Lech Village in Lvea Leu Commune, which is located in the district of Chamkar Leu in Kampong Cham Province. She has two unmarried children. Koem Sroh is an active and honest vegetable seller who earns about 5 USD per day. Her husband transports the vegetables for her. So far, they have been in this business for 10 years.

Koem Sroh wants to improve the general living conditions of her entire family by having a latrine to use, since there is no latrine at her house now. Therefore, she is taking out a loan from Kiva via HKL to build a latrine. By doing this, she can help her family members gain access to sanitation, promote their health, and help to lessen environmental deterioration. This is her first loan cycle with Kiva. In the future, she wants to run an additional business and enlarge her house. She is thankful to all of the lenders for their financial support.
