A loan of $600 helped purchase food for catering business.

Lili's story

Lili belongs to the "Las Estrellitas II" Community Bank and lives at 489 Victor Andres Belaunde Street, in Tarapoto District, San Martin Province and Department. She is separated, 40 years old, and has 2 children that still depend on her.

Wanting to see her only son become a professional and to earn her own income to be able to achieve that goal, she decided to start her own business. She tells us that she used to sell shoes and that she went through a lot of difficulties, but her strong will and desire to get ahead have helped to start her own business selling prepared foods. She continues with that business now and it is going very well. She has steady customers and is well known for her clientele and for the tastiness of her food.

With this loan of 1800 PEN she wants to invest in materials for her dishes, such as sacks of rice and sugar, chickens and eggs, bananas, pastas and oils, as well as cooking utensils, in order to be able to offer quality service.

She feels great strength to continue selling food and eventually grow her business into a well-appointed restaurant, to provide better service to her clientele. She is grateful to the Manuala Ramos Movement for contributing to the fulfillment of her dreams and goals.
