Bakygul's story

Bakygul is 58 years old and the mother of five children. She has a secondary education. She has been involved in animal husbandry and agriculture since 1995 and she currently has three cows, 16 sheep, and one horse on her farm. She also grows corn, barley, and rice for resale on 2.22 hectares of land.

Eager to further develop her business, Bakygul has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS). She will use her loan to increase her livestock headcount. Bakygul intends to increase her number of farm animals and to use the earnings from her loan to improve her family's living conditions.
