A loan helped to purchase grocery-store merchandise.

Adriana's story

Adriana M. S. owns a small grocery store. She is married and has three children and four grandchildren. Mrs. S. has experienced a life of many obstacles, as she lives with Lupus disease, her husband is bedridden, and her granddaughter was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Two more of her grandchildren have just finished school, but as yet they have been unable to find work. As a result, Mrs. S. supports the entire family.

She has owned her small grocery store for over 25 years, and it is one of the family's main sources of income. Additionally, the family rents houses to people in the neighborhood. While she has a steady source of income, Mrs. S. explains that the money earned is barely enough to cover the medical and living expenses of the family.

Despite these difficulties, Mrs. S. has been a long-time client of the Fundación Paraguaya and is always prompt with her loan payments. She thanks the Fundación for their help, and asks for their continued support of her business and of her family.
