Comfort's story

Comfort S. is 39 years old; she is married and a mother with five children. Currently all her children are in school. She lives at Suhum in the eastern region of Ghana. She is a petty trader who sells assorted products like cooking utensils and plastic bowls, lunch boxes, etc. She mostly sells through hawking, that is, house-to-house selling. She has been selling goods for eight year now.

Comfort has attracted lots of customers who purchase from her. She treks to Accra to purchase her stock of goods. Recently she has been facing challenges in her business as a result of inadequate funds to buy stock. She requests a loan to buy more of the products like cooking utensils and others which are frequently demanded by her numerous customers.
