Lucia Yuri's story

Lucia Yuri F. Sánchez is 24 years old, lives in the district of "la Esperanza" ["the Hope"] in the province of Trujillo in the department of La Libertad, Peru. She did not finish elementary school. She has a son that depends on her financially. Lucia dedicates herself to selling soft drinks and beer. She began this business a few years ago and developed it in her home. She invested her first loan of 200 soles that she received from her community bank Bellavista II in purchasing soft drinks and beer. She will invest the loan of 700 soles in purchasing supplies (rice, sugar, bread) and drinks such as soft drinks, to increase the size of her grocery store. Teresa's dream is to have her own mini-market to grow as a micro-enterprise.
