A loan of $450 helped to increase her merchandise.

Vilma's story

Vilma is 40 and lives with her 2 children in a family member's home. For two years, she has sold cosmetics by catalog. She sells one of the most well-known brands in the country. Every day she goes to the homes of her friends, neighbors, and other people that she knows to sell her products. Then, in the afternoons, she takes inventory of what she sold and the orders she took. Days later, she visits her customers again to collect the money, since she generally sells on credit. Although it is tiring to do this work, it gives her great satisfaction. She has her own goals, which she reaches every month. In the near future, Vilma hopes to establish a sales stand in a central commercial area in her community. This is her first loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, and she is very grateful for the inviitation they gave her to become a part of her current communal bank where her fellow members are on their fifth loan. The credit she is requesting will go towards purchasing more cosmetics to increase her working capital.
