A loan helped to pass a medical exam and finally get rid of her health problems.

Larisa's story

Larisa hopes to receive her fourth Kiva loan. She lives in the village of Tsaghkunk in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. She lives with her son and husband; both of them are employed. Larisa worked at a school as a Russian language teacher for a long time, but since 2000 she has only been farming. All her previous Kiva loans helped her to develop her farm and earn more profit from it.

This time Larisa is asking for this Kiva loan since she has some health problems and this loan of 900,000 Armenian drams (AMD) will help her to pass a medical exam and finally get rid of her health problems.

This loan is special because:

It allows low-income families to access needed health services.
