A loan of $500 helped to purchase additional merchandise.

Judith's story

Judith is 28 years old and she lives in her parent’s house with her 8 year-old son. For 2 years she has been selling a variety of items for personal and household use. She was working as a street vendor, but recently she rented a store so she could sell in a more stable manner. Now she is exposed to fewer of the risks she confronted when selling in the street and she can also spend more time with her son. Because of the type of job this is, her earnings are very good, so Judith has decided to continue selling this way and increase her merchandise. This is the first time she has had a loan with MFP. She was invited to join the current communal bank and she is very happy about this because she knows she will learn a lot. The loan she is requesting is to purchase more merchandise for her store.
