Jamila Gulzar wants a loan to buy material (cosmetics, hair dryer and scissors) for her beauty salon. Kosar and Kaniz each want a loan to buy auto-rickshaws (local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Rani wants a loan to buy a donkey cart for loading.

Abida is a 30-year old married lady and a citizen of the historic city of Lahore, Pakistan for the past 6 years. Her husband, A. is a delivery man by profession and delivers fruit, vegetables and construction supplies. He has been in this business for the past three years. Abida is applying for a loan to buy a new donkey cart for her husband because his old cart is rough and rotting.

This is a group loan. Funds will be distributed among group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. Members mutually guarantee the entire loan. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
