A loan of $350 helped purchase fabric to make clothing and bed sheets.

Tatiana's story

TATIANA S. G., a member of the LAS GEMAS II Microfinance Institute, is a 26-year-old woman who lives in the city of Pucallpa. She plants and harvests rice for a living. She has one son, and her husband is a motorcycle taxi driver.

She has been involved with the Manuela Ramos movement for almost two years. Her first loan for 300.00 PEN was used to purchase rice seeds.

She currently plants and harvests rice. With this 1,000.00 PEN loan, she will purchase material to make and design all types of clothing and bed sheets, thus allowing her to make extra money.

She is very grateful to Manuela Ramos because a financial institution has never given her a loan before, while Manuela Ramos, without all the paperwork, trusted in her and motivated her to be responsible with her payments.
