Nicolaza's story

Nicolaza is a member of the Sumaq Huayta Communal Bank, which means “Beautiful Flower.” She is a widow, 78 years old, and has 10 children. Nicolaza has a textile workshop where embroidery and weavings are made. She has 10 embroiderers and sells her products by order and at her daughter’s stall in the Artesanal Market. She also sends her products to the cities of Cuzco and Lima.

Nicolaza needs a loan of 2,000 soles, money that will be used to buy wool. Nicolaza dreams of continuing to help her children.
